Project Overview
56 Cumberland Ave is a ground-up, five-unit condominium building on one of the last remaining buildable lots on Portland's East End. Built with M.W. Hoss Construction and designed by Delano Architects, the project called for a tight, well-coordinated mechanical package on a dense urban infill site with limited staging and access.
Mash Mechanical delivered the heating, cooling and ventilation for the building. Each condo is individually zoned so owners control their own comfort, with high-efficiency equipment, quiet distribution and code-compliant fresh air and exhaust throughout. Riser routing, unit layouts and finish details were coordinated closely with the general contractor and architect to keep mechanical fully concealed in the finished spaces.
