Minibar Indoor Minigolf

Portland, Maine · with M.W. Hoss Construction

The challenge

Condition a 12,000 sq ft indoor minigolf, restaurant and bar with very uneven occupancy.

What Mash installed

HVAC, commercial kitchen exhaust and zoned ventilation across the venue.

What made it difficult

The outcome

Comfortable play and dining areas at peak crowds without over-running equipment.

Minibar indoor minigolf, restaurant and bar in Portland, Maine

Project Overview

Minibar is a 12,000-square-foot indoor mini golf center in Portland that pairs an interactive course with a full-service restaurant and bar and more than 50 televisions. Each hole was concepted and built with local sporting clubs and small businesses, turning an existing building into a high-energy community destination.

Mash Mechanical delivered the mechanical package for the conversion. Working around complex existing conditions and unforeseen conditions in the building, our team routed heating, cooling and ventilation through an open, high-ceiling entertainment space while keeping equipment and ductwork out of sightlines and play areas. The kitchen and bar received dedicated exhaust and makeup air, and the course, dining and bar zones were separately controlled so a packed house stays comfortable.

Scope of Work
