High-bay air distribution over an active athletic floor, plus tight sequencing with the general contractor and other trades on a school schedule.

Project Overview
The Miles Field House at Thornton Academy is a nearly 49,000-square-foot multi-use athletic and wellness facility featuring three full courts, an indoor track, sprint lanes and a modern training center. Working alongside Benchmark Construction, Mash Mechanical delivered the mechanical systems that keep the building comfortable, efficient and quiet through Maine's full range of seasons.
High-bay athletic spaces are demanding: large volumes, heavy occupancy swings and strict acoustic expectations. Our team coordinated ductwork through the truss system, set rooftop equipment, and balanced and commissioned the building so air distribution stays even from court level to the elevated track.
